Status update Sept. 19th.

I just walked around the block with my wife.  I had no cane or mobility aid. I am going to drive myself to get a chest x-ray in a few minutes.

I am very excited!  I will have a limited amount of liberty today.

The pump is currently set at 100 mcg/day.  I am to augment that with 10 mg oral Baclofen up to 3 times a day, as needed.  So far, I’m taking about one oral Baclofen tab every two days.  My forearms and hands get tight and hurt.  I’m unsure if it is from the spasticity or if it is from the fact that they were turned into Swiss Cheese in the hospital.

My stamina is growing.  I will be getting hydrotherapy, probably at Thibodaux Regional and then transfer it to the YMCA to continue on my own.

I have a recumbent exercise bike that I am to work up to 20-30 minutes a day on.  I am becoming functional again!!!!

I believe I am almost done with the pneumonia.  I had a sweat fit that was so bad, I showered at 4 this morning because of the smell.

I am very much looking forward to taking photos again.  I love macro photography, but the contortions were just to much with the spasticity.  Now, we can get back to business again.

Thanks for reading,

God Bless,
